It will consist of several posts regarding the shifting nature of mass media communications in the Information Age and how new digital technologies are shaping our business, interpersonal, and political interactions.

Several blog posts will concern how the role of communications professionals has expanded and transformed as a result of the new multimedia tools at their disposal. These posts will explore the kinds of training today's communications need to successfully navigate this evolving media environment as well as how their roles within organizations are have developed over the past two decades with the rapid development and adoption of web- and mobile-based commerce, news, and social media platforms.

Additional entries will explore the large ramifications of these changes in the culture at large, looking at mass media developments and the changing expectations of individuals in society. In terms of political engagement, civic interaction, and participation in the democratic process, new media have altered the ways in which citizens and government officials interact. Social interactions, personal relationships, and the psychological implications of digitally-mediated identity construction will also be considered.
